Junior Configuration Engineer

The Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Engineering Configuration & Change Engineer. This role would suit someone with approximately 2+ years' within Configuration Management, Engineering Change, Product Data Management (PDM), PLM or a similar engineering environment who is looking to develop their career within a major aerospace organisation.
What You'll Be Doing Support the end-to-end Engineering Change and Configuration Management process, from change initiation and assessment through implementation, embodiment and closure Support Engineering Change activities throughout the aircraft/product lifecycle Maintain accurate configuration and product data within relevant Configuration Management, PDM and PLM systems Support Engineering Change Process deliverables and ensure changes progress through the required workflow Work with Engineering and other functions to obtain the information and approvals required to progress changes Support activities including Engineering Decision Dossiers (EDD), Modification Proposal Dossiers (MPD), Design Query Notes (DQN), modification closure and Service Bulletin processes Assist with maintaining product structures, configuration records and engineering data Work collaboratively with Engineering, Configuration Management, Manufacturing, Airworthiness and Programme teams Identify issues within configuration/change processes and support corrective actions Contribute to the team's ongoing digitalisation and automation activities Support the adoption and improvement of Configuration Management tools and processes What We're Looking For Approximately 2+ years' within Configuration Management, Engineering Change, Product Data Management, PLM or a related engineering environment Understanding of the end-to-end Configuration and Engineering Change Management process Configuration Management, PDM or PLM tools Understanding of product data, product structures, engineering documentation and change control Comfortable working with multiple engineering stakeholders and progressing changes through defined processes Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple changes and priorities Strong attention to detail and an ability to work accurately with engineering/product data Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional engineering team Desirable / Digital Skills Digital capability would be advantageous, particularly with: Python SQL Skywise Data analysis, reporting or visualisation Process automation PDM / PLM systems Configuration and Engineering Change Management tools
