Position Overview: We are seeking a junior DM corporate credit analyst who will be supervised by a senior analyst in charge of covering a given set of sectors/regions on both bonds and loans instruments across the full risk spectrum, and contributing to a collection of fundamental credit strategies across our hedge fund and CLO vehicles.

The role of the junior analyst will be: Assist the senior analyst by collecting information, attending investor presentations, running credit analysis and documenting credit memosHelp the senior analyst monitoring thoroughly and actively the fundamentals and market dynamics of all issuers in coverage on both bonds and loans instruments (notably across earnings or any events)Be part of the buildout of the new Squarepoint CLO platform along with our CLO management PMs and DCM headsContribute to our fundamental business for the hedge fund centered around primary, short duration and alpha captureRequired

Qualifications

Advanced degrees from top universities in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics or related subjectsExperience in researching, analyzing and modelling data – ideally through prior internship experience or in a related position 1 - 4 years of relevant experienceAs a bank desk analyst fromHigh Yield/loans/distressed deskOrigination desk focusing on leveraged financeInvestment banking/M&A division covering any sectorOr in a buy-side firms: Long only credit asset managersCLO shopsCredit specialists HFsMulti-strategy HFsBig 4 auditing firms: Consulting/advisoryDeals/transactionAudit teams covering any sectorsCoding skill in Python and ease with Excel is a plusExcellent writing skills and ability to quickly synthesize thoughts and organize informationOpenness to tackle any project or task that is requiredStrong communication skills and ability to work well with colleagues across multiple teams and regionsAbility to work under pressure and deliver under tight timelines The minimum base salary for this role is $150,000 if located in New York.

This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions.

Successful candidates' compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
