Location: Reading (RG6) Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Hours: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM Contract Type: Temporary (Immediate start until 11th September) Role Overview We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join a busy warehouse kitchen team based in the Reading (RG6) area.
This is a great short-term opportunity offering early daytime shifts, steady full-time hours, and competitive weekly pay. Key Responsibilities Washing cookware, utensils, cutlery, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers and manual sink setups.
Assisting with basic food prep support and unloading stock deliveries as needed. Keeping all kitchen, food storage, and preparation areas clean, sanitized, and organized. Disposing of rubbish and food waste safely and efficiently.
Adhering strictly to kitchen hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations. Requirements Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen, catering environment, or warehouse canteen is preferred (though strong work ethic and reliability are essential).
Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks. Good communication skills and a team-player attitude. Safety shoes required. Punctual with full commitment to cover the duration of the assignment through 11th September.
