Skilled Labourer (M&E / Pipefitting Support) Location: Manchester, M4 Rate: Up to £24.00 per hour Start Date: 09/11/2026 Duration: Initial 4-week contract with further work available on subsequent projects Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 Contract Type: Temporary Contract Skilled Labourer Required - Manchester We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Labourer to join a well-established Northwest-based Mechanical & Electrical contractor on a commercial project in Manchester .

This role will involve working closely alongside experienced Pipefitters , assisting with installation works and supporting the mechanical team on-site. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a construction or mechanical environment and be comfortable taking a hands-on approach to supporting pipefitting activities.

This is initially a 4-week contract , however there is a strong possibility of further work on upcoming projects following successful completion. Key Responsibilities Assisting Pipefitters with the installation of mechanical services Supporting 1st fix pipework installation activities Moving and preparing materials and equipment around site Assisting with pipe cutting, measuring and general installation duties Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Working in line with site health & safety procedures Supporting the wider mechanical installation team as required Requirements Previous experience working alongside Pipefitters or Plumbers Construction site experience Ability to work within a fast-paced site environment Strong work ethic and willingness to assist the team Valid CSCS Card (Essential) Full PPE including: Safety Boots Hi-Vis Vest Hard Hat What's on Offer?
