Lead Java Developer

Tech Stack: Java and low-latency, JVM engineering, FX, eFX, Crypto, hedging and risk-management systems, Aeron, FIX connectivity, Linux, Multithreading, Harrington Starr have partnered with an innovative to Software Developer specialising in Crypto, FX and eFX currently developing high-performing trading systems.

We're looking for a skilled Java or Quant Developer with a strong background in computer-science to contribute to the development of future algorithms. The role provides an exciting, hands-on engineering role for those with a knack for solving difficult problems whilst also offering exposure to the modern technologies and financial markets.

You will be directly involved in affecting trading outcomes, so we are looking for an engineer who has operated closely or have great experience in a trading desk.

Key responsibilities

Core Java development and market connectivity experience Experience with multi-threading Experience on low latency trading systems Experience in TDD/BDD Designing trading systems Strong computer science/STEM background Supporting knowledge of Linux & Bash Scripting An engineer from a financial services environment with a strong understanding of trading systems, ability to solve problems and eager for a hands-on role who will add to their Software Engineering team in their London Office.

You will be directly responsible for affecting the business and their trading outcomes.
