Lead Network Architect

Overview In this role you will shape Mastercard's global network architecture to support secure, scalable payments services. You will own technology roadmaps and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business goals.

You'll tackle complex design challenges across multi-vendor environments, improving performance, reliability, and security. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on defining architectural standards and driving impactful network initiatives.

You will work to ensure Mastercard's network remains fit-for-purpose as the business and technology landscape evolves. Responsibilities Develop and maintain network architecture blueprints, standards, and roadmaps for platform and infrastructure components Design and implement approaches for optimal performance, reliability, and security; identify improvement areas Update and enforce technology component standards (networking, security, operating systems) Monitor network security and governance to ensure safeguards are effective Lead development projects focused on performance, reliability, and security; drive implementations Resolve complex architecture issues and escalate when necessary Key requirements Experience leading a major work stream or multiple smaller work streams in a large domain initiative Proven ability to engage with the technical community to anticipate and recommend future requirements Track record of selecting/evaluating new technologies aligned with industry trends Multi-vendor experience (Cisco, F5, Palo Alto) and design-level expertise Industry certification or long-standing design experience in networking Collaborative team leadership Strong communication and advisory capabilities Problem-solving and strategic thinking Cisco F5 Palo Alto
