Lead Quality Engineer

Overview In this role you will drive quality across design, production, and supplier interfaces within the Ampthill operations. You will act as the primary quality contact on projects, ensuring compliance with processes and contractual requirements.

You will lead RCCA/CAPA activities, investigate failures, and guide corrective actions to uphold reliability. You will collaborate with management, engineering, manufacturing, and customers to raise quality standards, reduce defects, and improve performance.

This role offers an opportunity to shape quality systems and supplier performance in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional impact. Responsibilities Be the primary point of contact for all quality issues on project Ensure project adherence to business and contractual processes and procedures Manage non-conformances end-to-end, including RCCA Review and approve quality documentation for compliance Participate in design reviews with quality input Support bids by advising on quality requirements Key requirements Ability to manage multiple tasks with high accuracy Strong communication skills across all levels Decisive, ownership-driven problem solving Excellent written and verbal communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience with SAP Quality Module is desirable Proven experience in root cause analysis and CAPA/RCCA Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO) is advantageous Stakeholder management Attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication SAP Quality Module Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Root cause analysis
