NegotiableRomsey, England Permanent Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Quality Supervisor to join their team. This permanent role will oversee day-to-day quality assurance and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

The role supports the manufacture of advanced composite components and assemblies for the aerospace market.

Key Responsibilities

Quality System Maintenance & ComplianceEnsure day-to-day compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System requirementsMaintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection records, and supporting documentationSupport internal audits, customer audits, and external certification surveillance activitiesAssist the external QMS provider during audits and system reviewsEnsure non-conformances are correctly recorded, managed, and closed promptlyPromote continuous improvement in quality processes and shop-floor practicesInspection & MeasurementCarry out hands-on dimensional inspection of composite components and assemblies throughout manufacturePerform incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specificationsProduce accurate inspection reports, measurement records, and quality documentationDefine, maintain, and apply inspection plans and acceptance criteria for manufactured componentsOperate a range of inspection and metrology equipment, including: Verniers and micrometers, Height gauges and surface tables, Go/No-Go gauges, Digital measuring systems, 3D scanning equipment and associated softwareEnsure all measuring equipment is correctly calibrated, maintained, and fit for useSupport First Article Inspection (FAI) and product validation activitiesProduct Transfer & Cross-Site QualityInspect and verify products transferring from the UK to Turkish productionEnsure dimensional conformity and quality standards are met before transferSupport inspection and validation of products received from Turkey before deliveryEnsure consistent application of acceptance criteria across UK and Turkish operationsSupport quality alignment between sites through shared inspection standards and practicesNon-Conformance & Continuous ImprovementRaise, investigate, and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs)Lead or support root cause analysis activities using structured quality toolsImplement and verify the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)Identify recurring quality issues and support improvement initiativesWork closely with Engineering and Production teams to reduce defects and improve process capabilityJob

Requirements

Proven experience in a Quality Supervisor, Senior Inspector, or Quality Engineer role within aerospace, advanced composites, or high-performance manufacturingExperience inspecting composite components and assemblies is highly desirableKnowledge of aircraft interior manufacturing or aerospace composite processesStrong experience maintaining and working within ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems in an aerospace manufacturing environment is requiredExperience supporting internal, customer, and certification audits with a strong understanding of AS9100 requirementsStrong practical inspection and metrology experienceAbility to interpret engineering drawings, composite specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection softwareExperience with 3D scanning, CMM inspection, or advanced metrology systems would be advantageousStrong experience in non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and CAPA processesStrong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skillsCompetent in Microsoft Office and quality management documentation systemsIf you are an experienced Lead Quality Supervisor looking to advance your career in the aerospace sector, we would love to hear from you.
