What You'll Be Doing

Leading security architecture across complex defence and security programmes Owning risk management activities using recognised frameworks and methodologies Designing proportionate security architectures aligned to system criticality Setting the strategic direction for security across multiple projects Working closely with software, infrastructure, DevSecOps and cyber teams to embed security by design Producing assurance evidence to meet MOD and regulatory requirements Developing options and mitigations to address technical and architectural vulnerabilities Collaborating with wider IT architects and subject matter experts to deliver joined-up solutions Engaging with assurance and accreditation stakeholders throughout the system lifecycle Main Skills Needed: Strong background in security architecture within defence or highly regulated environments Hands-on risk management experience using frameworks such as NIST 800-53 Proven ability to design and select security controls across networks, endpoints, identity, cryptography and data Experience delivering secure-by-design solutions across on-prem and cloud platforms Solid understanding of MOD security standards (e.g.
