Learning Support Assistant - Tower Hamlets | Start November 2026 Location: Tower Hamlets - near Whitechapel Start Date: Monday 9th November 2026 Contract: Full-time | Long-term Pay: £100-£120 per day, dependent on experience Trials: ASAP Learning Support Assistant - Support Pupils to Thrive A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant to join its team from November.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with pupils who need additional support to access learning, develop independence and build confidence. The school has a strong community ethos and prides itself on creating a safe, structured and supportive environment where every child is known and valued.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant , Teaching Assistant or graduate with relevant child-focused experience who wants to develop within a supportive primary school. What Will You Be Doing?

As a Learning Support Assistant , your role will include a combination of classroom support, one-to-one work and small-group intervention.

You will

Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs Deliver targeted interventions to develop literacy, numeracy and communication Work one-to-one with pupils who require consistent support Help children develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours Adapt activities to ensure pupils can access the curriculum Build strong and positive relationships with children and colleagues Work closely with teachers and the school's SEN team The successful Learning Support Assistant will play an important part in helping pupils overcome barriers and make meaningful progress.
