Do you have the patience, resilience and enthusiasm to make a real difference in a child's education? TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to work within a specialist educational setting in Billericay, starting ASAP.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs. Support students with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils. Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support strategies.

Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment. Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and social development. The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour.

A calm, patient and resilient approach. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people. Experience in schools, alternative provisions, youth work or care settings is desirable.
