Our client is a major global energy trading house with a portfolio spanning LNG, coal and freight across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. They are hiring a Legal Counsel to sit within their Legal, Compliance & Contracts team in London, drafting and negotiating LNG trading agreements, as well as advising on compliance matters.
What you'll do
Negotiate and draft agreements across LNG, coal, power, ISDAs/derivatives and freight Advise the business on legal risk, spotting issues before they become problems Train the wider team on ABC, competition law, AML and sanctions
What you'll need
LNG trading experience is essential — this is the #1 requirement A broad physical commodities trading background 4–8 years PQE, qualified lawyer, top law firm or in-house pedigree Sharp drafting and negotiation skills, and the commercial instincts to match This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performing trading business at the centre of the global energy markets.
