Job Description Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Bury \ N Location: Bury, Greater Manchester Start Date: ASAP Salary: £95-£110 per day, depending on experience Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Job Type: Full-time, long-term \ N Tradewind Recruitment arecurrently seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Secondary School in Bury , with an ASAP start available. \ N This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people and helping pupils make progress both academically and personally. \ N Please note: School-Based Experience is Essential \ N Only applicants who have previously worked within schools or an education setting will be considered for this position. \ N Applicants must have relevant, hands-on experience working with pupils in a school environment. While experience in a secondary school is highly desirable, candidates with transferable experience from other educational settings may also be considered where appropriate. \ N This role would particularly suit a Teaching Assistant who has already developed a strong understanding of classroom routines, pupil support and working effectively alongside teaching staff. \ N The Role \ N As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide effective support to pupils across the school. Your responsibilities will include: \ N
Supportingpupils in lessons, helping them to engage with their learning and complete classroom activities. \ N Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and develop confidence. \ N Providing additional support to pupils who may require extra assistance with their academic, social or emotional development. \ N Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and maintaining a positive, purposeful learning environment. \ N Helping pupils toremain focused, motivated and engaged throughout lessons. \ N Supporting pupilswith additional learning needs where appropriate. \ N Building positiveand professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers. \ N Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to maintain high standards across the classroom and wider school. \ N Providing practical and pastoral support to pupils where required. \ N Contributing to the wider life of the school and working as part of a dedicated education team. \ N What We Are Looking For \ N The successful candidatewill ideally have: \ N
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. \ N Previousexperience working in a UK school or education setting - this is essential. \ N Experience supporting children or young people within a classroom environment. \ N A genuine passionfor education and supporting pupils to achieve their potential. \ N Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \ N A patient, positive and adaptable approach. \ N The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team. \ N A professional approach to safeguarding, confidentiality and pupil welfare. \ N The confidence tosupport pupils both independently and alongside qualified teachers. \ N Pay
