Licensed Aircraft Engineer

Overview

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer for long-haul fleets, you will lead maintenance activities and uphold regulatory standards while certifying multiple aircraft types. You join a dynamic Engineering team within a growing fleet program, gaining ownership of tasks with support from skilled colleagues. This role focuses on leadership, safety, and technical proficiency across B777, B787, A350, and A380 platforms. Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities with clear targets and resource planning
• Ensure compliance with procedures, legal, regulatory and airmanship standards
• Oversee completion of planned and ad-hoc maintenance tasks
• Provide guidance for team maintenance activities and safe work practices
• Maintain qualification on all applicable aircraft types, vehicles and equipment
• Conduct competency checks per quality procedures
• Perform IT and documentary transactions as required
• Support ongoing knowledge and skills development

Key requirements

• Unrestricted CAA UK Part-66 Category B1 and/or B2 licence
• For B1: at least one B1.1 type rating (turbofan or turboprop)
• For B2: at least one B2 type rating (fixed wing or rotary)
• UK Driving Licence (or equivalent)
• Proven recent experience certifying aircraft (last 2 years)
