Salary: £34,000 £36,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm About the Role An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Light Motor Vehicle Technician to join a well-established independent garage based in Norwich, NR6 6SU .
The successful candidate will be joining a busy, professional and friendly independent garage and will be responsible for carrying out MOT repairs and servicing, clutch work, tyre repairs and air conditioning work on vehicles of all ages and models .
This is a hands-on workshop position suited to an experienced technician with strong practical knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship. The company places a strong emphasis on practical experience and ability , meaning hands-on industry experience is considered more important than formal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Carrying out MOT repairs and servicing Carrying out clutch repairs and replacements Completing tyre repairs and replacements Carrying out air conditioning servicing and repairs Working on vehicles of all ages and models Diagnosing and repairing faults where required Carrying out vehicle inspections and health checks Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard Accurately completing relevant job cards and workshop paperwork Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment Following all company procedures and health and safety requirements Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Strong previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic or Light Motor Vehicle Technician Proven hands-on experience working within an independent garage, dealership or similar automotive workshop environment Experience carrying out MOT repairs and servicing, clutch work, tyre repairs and air conditioning work Strong mechanical and fault-finding abilities The confidence to work independently and efficiently A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail A reliab...
