Job Description Murray Recruitment are recruiting an Administrator for our client based in Cumbernauld. Role Overview This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join a busy depot environment.

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and customer service support, acting as a key link between customers, operations, drivers and internal teams. This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.

The Administrator will play an important part in resolving customer queries, maintaining accurate documentation and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the depot. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, providing a professional and efficient service.

Manage delivery issues, delays and discrepancies, ensuring customers receive clear and proactive updates. Handle telephone and email correspondence in a timely and professional manner. Liaise with depot colleagues to provide customers with updates on the movement of goods.

Prepare and distribute Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation for collections and deliveries. Process returned POD paperwork and follow up with drivers regarding missing or incomplete documentation. Administer specific customer contracts, maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation.

Complete data entry across internal systems with a high level of accuracy. Raise Purchase Orders on behalf of the operational team when required. Process and approve purchase invoices, checking details against PO numbers and completion dates.

Provide general administrative support across the depot. Participate in the on-call rota from home, booking and processing urgent deliveries onto the system. Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Adhere to all site-specific health and safety requirements. Skills & Experience Previous experience within an administrative role, ideally in a busy, fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer systems. Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Strong team-working skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different departments. Previous experience within logistics, transport or depot operations would be advantageous but is not essential. Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota.

Offering Permanent, full-time position. £13.00 per hour / £27,040 per annum. 40 paid hours per week. Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 6.00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. 1 in 4 on-call rota, working from home with additional payment.
