6–8 weeks)Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays (plus option to purchase up to 5 additional days)About the RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Coordinator to join a fast-paced time-critical transport and freight forwarding operation based in Redditch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring shipments are accurately booked, tracked, and delivered on time, while maintaining strong customer communication and operational control under pressure. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Shipment Management

  • Manage customer enquiries and orders via phone and email
  • Load and manage shipments on internal systems
  • Provide quotations for UK and European transport
  • Offer multiple transport solutions including airfreight where required
  • Keep customers updated on job progress and statusOperational Control & Planning
  • Book, track, and monitor shipments end-to-end
  • Source and liaise with suppliers and carriers
  • Review routes and transport options to ensure cost efficiency and profitability
  • Support line stoppage and urgent escalation situations
  • Ensure clear communication with warehouse teams for inbound and outbound planningAdministration & System Accuracy
  • Close out job files, ensuring PODs and supporting documents are obtained
  • Maintain accurate system records and ensure data integrity
  • Ensure jobs are fully completed prior to invoicing
  • File paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain strong system housekeeping standardsPerformance & Coordination
  • Manage priorities effectively to meet tight deadlines
  • Liaise with Operations, Accounts, and Warehouse teams
  • Monitor KPIs and escalate issues where required
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within required timescalesRequirementsSkills & Experience
  • Previous experience in transport, freight forwarding, or logistics (essential)
  • Strong understanding of European planning (essential)Qualifications (Desirable)
  • CPC qualification (advantageous but not essential)Additional Information

  • Full training provided (up to 6–8 weeks standard days schedule)
