M&E Manager

M&E Manager - Main Contractor - Life Sciences Location: Surrey Salary: £80,000-£90,000 + Travel + Pension + Family Healthcare + Bonus We are recruiting an M&E Manager on behalf of a main contractor specialising in life science projects, to join the team delivering a prestigious science project in Surrey.

The initial project duration is two years, with the potential for up to ten years' worth of work, offering excellent long-term prospects. Our client is open to candidates with either a mechanical or electrical bias, including Project Managers from an M&E subcontractor background looking to move into a main contractor role.

The Role Taking responsibility for the coordination and delivery of the M&E services from pre-construction through to practical completion,

your responsibilities will include

Managing specialist M&E subcontractors, ensuring works meet programme, quality and budget requirements. Reviewing designs, identifying coordination issues and supporting buildability and value engineering. Working closely with the client, consultants and wider construction team.

Overseeing procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover. Monitoring progress, resolving technical issues and maintaining high standards of health and safety. Requirements A relevant mechanical or electrical qualification.

Valid SMSTS. Experience delivering projects from pre-construction through to practical completion. Experience as an M&E Manager or a Mechanical/Electrical Project Manager within a subcontractor environment. Experience within laboratories, life sciences, pharmaceuticals or mission critical projects is preferable.

Strong technical knowledge, communication and subcontractor management skills. Must be able to obtain enhanced security clearance. What's on Offer £80,000-£90,000 salary, depending on experience. Travel. Pension. Family healthcare.
