We have urgent position Mainframe Consultant/ Developer @ London or Sheffield, UK – Hybrid- Contract, could you please find the JD below and
Role: Mainframe Consultant/ Developer
Location: London or Sheffield
Type of role: Contract (Initially 6 months)
Mode of Work: Hybrid – 2 or 3 days onsite in a week
Key responsibilities
- Work with datasets, VSAM files and DB2 tables for reading and updating data.
- Create and run batch jobs and check outputs against expected results.
- Debug program abends and data issues using dumps and logs with guidance.
- Write test cases and run programs in the test region before promotion.
- Handle CICS online transactions for interactive screens under guidance.
- Fix defects raised in testing and production support and add safeguards.
- Document program logic, job flows and test evidence for the team.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Endevor
- Strong experience in Mainframe
- Working knowledge of COBOL and JCL
