Maintenance Engineer

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (4 Nights, Mon – Thurs) Based in Knutsford, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who have the best culture that I have come across because the owners prioritise this.

They offer a very friendly and supportive environment, and they are seeking to recruit an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer who has manufacturing experience. This is a nightshift position and the hours are Mon – Wed, 4pm – 2.30am, Thurs, 4pm – 1.30am every week.

As Maintenance Engineer you will respond to breakdowns and maintain site-wide electrical and Mechanical systems in order to minimise engineering downtime. My client is offering a very secure job as they have never made anyone redundant.

Role: Conduct planned maintenance, breakdown and statutory checks as required. Liaise with the Engineering Manager, to prioritise workload and ensure adequate resources are made available to resolve issues. Working as part of engineering team on site, strive to keep engineering downtime to a minimum, prioritising tasks to meet business needs.

Improve machine availability, learn and understand machine processes and operation Control contractors; induction and permits, ensuring safe and compliant work on site. Work within the company health, safety and environmental policies ensuring permit to work and isolation systems are employed where practicable whilst working on electrical and mechanical systems.

Ensure that all equipment can be safely isolated in accordance with legislation and good engineering practice.
