Maintenance Engineer

Overview

As a multiskilled maintenance engineer at Greencore, you will fault-find, service and preventively maintain plant equipment to optimise reliability and output. You will respond to production needs to maximise uptime, while upholding food safety and audit-ready documentation. You’ll spot efficiency and safety improvements and apply them across packaging and manufacturing lines. This role supports a fast-moving FMCG environment and offers development opportunities within a market-leading site.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on plant equipment to maximise reliability
• Respond to internal production needs to maximise uptime according to priorities
• Comply with food safety standards and safety controls
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve health & safety and operational efficiency
• Maintenance on a range of manufacturing/packaging machinery

Key requirements

• Completed accredited apprenticeship or equivalent experience with Level 3 qualification
• Electrically biased
• Experience as Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing/FMCG
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
• Experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding
