With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, they are looking to add a skilled Maintenance Engineer to their engineering team at their Romford facility. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation.
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Please note: Applicants must have previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment and possess both mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing machinery and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly to minimise downtime. Complete reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
Support continuous improvement and reliability projects. Assist with the installation, commissioning and modification of production equipment. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance. Requirements Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong mechanical maintenance experience, including pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors and associated machinery. Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Experience working on automated production equipment. Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent. Experience within industrial, chemical, FMCG or manufacturing environments.
