Want job security, modern kit and a team that people don't leave?

A major 24/7 operation in Birmingham is growing its engineering team and needs another Maintenance Engineer. The established team has been there for years, and that says a lot about the place.

The role

  • Keep high-volume automated systems running, including conveyors, carousels, X-ray machines and the control systems behind them
  • Respond to breakdowns and fault-find quickly to keep the operation moving
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance
  • Get involved in project work as the site grows

You'll need

  • A Level 3 apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
  • Experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, with either a mechanical or an electrical bias
  • Knowledge of conveyors and automated systems; carousels, X-ray or controls experience is a bonus
  • The right attitude. Your background matters less: manufacturing, logistics and ex-forces engineers are all welcome
  • The ability to pass security vetting.

What's on offer

  • Excellent job security in a stable, long-serving team
  • Internal and external training, with real progression
