Maintenance Mechanical Engineer -Leeds - LS1 - X1 Job AvailableA Maintenance Mechanical Engineer is required for a static site role in Leeds (LS1), working within a healthcare environment. This is a long-term position with opportunities for permanent employment.

Shift Pattern: 4 days (6:00am - 6:00pm), 4 days off, 4 nights (6:00pm - 6:00am), 4 days off - rolling shift pattern providing 24/7/365 cover. Pay Rate: £20.36 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)Duties will include:Leading the shift team and providing support to working colleaguesCarrying out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in line with relevant standards and proceduresParticipating in the rotating shift pattern to provide continuous service coverProviding cover for absent colleagues where requiredWorking in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelinesMaintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of building services including:Heating and domestic water servicesGeneral electrical services (lighting and power)Air handling unitsLow voltage electrical distribution systems and switchgearEmergency standby generating plantFire alarm systems and emergency lightingElectrical control systemsBuilding Management Systems (BMS)Maintaining accurate records and completing service reports, providing regular updates to the line managerCarrying out minor installation and upgrade works when requiredAssisting other skilled trades with maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation workUndertaking training to maintain and develop skills in line with service requirementsActing as Competent or Authorised Person when appointedLiaising and undertaking duties at other healthcare projects if directedUndertaking overtime where required to maintain service deliveryCarrying out any other duties commensurate with gradeQualifications / Experience Required:Qualified, time-served engineerMinimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experienceHealthcare experience desirable but not essentialCross-trade experience advantageousThis is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established facilities team within a critical healthcare environment.
