Maintenance Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join a busy fleet workshop in Southampton (Romsey). Applicants must have practical vehicle servicing and repair experience, hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, possess a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Level 2 qualified Technicians looking to progress to Level 3 are encouraged to apply. Location: Southampton (Romsey) Salary: Up to £16.00 per hour plus bonus and overtime Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week – No Mandatory Weekends Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Why Apply? £1,500 Joining Bonus – £750 in First Month and £750 After Successful 90-Day Probation Monday to Friday – No Mandatory Weekends Optional Saturday Overtime at Enhanced Rates Flexible Working Hours Between 7:00am and 6:00pm 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays Birthday Off and Paid Volunteering Days Regular Salary Reviews Modern Workshop and Technical Support Structured Training with Level 3 Qualification Progression Maintenance Technician Role Service, maintain and repair fleet and rental vehicles Carry out brake, tyre, suspension and general mechanical repairs Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks Identify worn or damaged components and carry out necessary repairs Replace parts in line with manufacturer and workshop standards Complete accurate job cards and maintenance records Road test vehicles when required and maintain workshop safety standards Maintenance Technician Requirements Minimum Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent) Previous practical workshop experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs Good knowledge of brakes, steering, suspension and vehicle inspections Ability to work independently and within a workshop team Full UK Driving Licence Right to work in the UK Willingness to undertake further technical training How to Apply If you're interested in this Maintenance Technician vacancy in Southampton (Romsey), please submit your CV and one of our consultants will be in touch.
