Job Description Maintenance Team Member Location: Livingston Salary: Starting earnings of approximately £40,000 per annum, rising to approximately £41,000 following successful completion of probation, plus enhanced earning potential upon transition to continental shifts.
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time The Opportunity We are recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Team Member to join a leading manufacturing business in Livingston. Working within an experienced maintenance team, you will play a key role in maintaining production equipment, supporting operational performance, and driving continuous improvement across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineering professional looking to build a long-term career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out repairs and planned preventative maintenance activities.
Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns. Support the installation and introduction of new or modified equipment. Undertake fault finding and problem-solving activities. Work to established maintenance procedures and standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure high standards of health, safety and housekeeping are maintained. Complete inspections, checks and maintenance records as required. About You Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
Must be able to provide trade papers. Previous experience within a maintenance or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of safe working practices. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work. Shift Pattern & Salary Initial shift pattern: 3-shift rotation 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Starting earnings: approximately £40,000 per annum Earnings increase to approximately £41,000 per annum after successful completion of probation Following an initial training period, typically around three months depending on experience and progression, the role is expected to move to a continental shift pattern with enhanced shift premiums.
