Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts. Produce variance analysis and provide clear commentary on business performance. Prepare board and management reporting packs including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs, and key financial insights.
Support leadership by explaining financial results, forecasts, and business performance. Deliver reliable financial reporting to support informed decision-making. Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning Maintain rolling forecasts and cash flow projections.
Support the annual budgeting process through robust financial analysis. Develop financial models and scenario planning tools to support business decisions. Identify risks and opportunities through forward-looking financial analysis.
Provide insight to support strategic growth initiatives. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Monitor and forecast cash flow requirements. Support improvements in credit control and collections performance. Help reduce debtor days and improve working capital efficiency.
Provide visibility of cash position and associated business risks. Support initiatives designed to improve cash generation and reduce financing costs. Financial Control & Compliance Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records and ledger postings.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements. Support statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit processes. Coordinate audit requests and prepare supporting documentation. Assist in strengthening financial controls and governance procedures.
Systems & Process Improvement Support the ongoing development of finance systems and reporting tools. Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency. Improve reporting accuracy, consistency, and data quality.
Assist with the integration and optimisation of finance, CRM, and operational systems. Contribute to scalable finance processes that support business growth. Experience & Skills Required: Essential Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
Previous experience producing monthly management accounts. Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills. Experience supporting audits and statutory reporting requirements. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. Strong Excel and financial systems capability. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Desirable Exposure to integrated finance and CRM systems.
Experience improving credit control and working capital performance. Experience supporting a growing or scaling organisation. Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
