Job Description Management AccountantAccountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Group Management Accountant to join their finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional looking to take ownership of the month-end process, support the wider finance function, and develop a team within a fast-paced business environment.

Salary/Benefits£40-45,000pa (dependent on experience)Career development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentInvolvement in continuous improvement projects and process enhancement initiativesJob DutiesPreparation of monthly management accounts through to review stage by the Finance ManagerCompletion of monthly balance sheet reconciliationsPreparation and posting of journals, including accruals, prepayments, loans and other adjustmentsMaintenance of the fixed asset register and fixed asset accountingProduction of month-end reports together with detailed variance analysisPreparation and submission of VAT returnsResponsibility for the control and oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgersAssisting with cost centre reviews, budgeting and budgetary controlsSupporting external audits and responding to auditor queriesActing as a key link between senior finance stakeholders and the wider finance teamHandling internal stakeholder queries and communicating financial information to non-finance colleaguesIdeal ExperienceAAT Qualified, ACCA/CIMA PQ or QBEPrevious experience within a medium to large organisationStrong technical accounting knowledge with previous experience at Assistant Management Accountant level or aboveAdvanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and complex formulasStrong systems knowledge and the ability to quickly adapt to new softwareDemonstrable experience identifying and implementing process improvementsExcellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skills
