This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a supportive, high-performing finance team and work closely with both the Financial Controller and CFO .You'll be given increasing ownership across the finance function, with exposure well beyond routine month-end accounting and a clear opportunity to develop your technical, commercial and leadership experience as the business continues to grow. your responsibilities will include
Supporting the preparation and review of monthly management accountsPreparing monthly balance sheet reconciliationsManaging cash-flow forecasting and reportingSupporting budgeting and forecasting activitiesAssisting with the year-end audit and liaising with external auditorsSupporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activitiesReviewing and improving financial reporting processes and controlsIdentifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencyProducing ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and growthSupporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team where appropriateEnsuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and company policiesWhat we're looking forWe'd like to speak to candidates who are currently working as a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, Finance Manager or similar and are ready to take the next step in their career.
Ideally, you'll have: AAT Level 3 or 4 , or be actively studying towards CIMA or ACCAPrevious experience within a management accounting or month-end finance roleExperience preparing or supporting monthly management accountsGood understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and accounting processesExposure to budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reportingExperience supporting year-end audit processesStrong Excel skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsConfidence communicating with colleagues and senior stakeholdersA proactive approach and an interest in improving existing processesExperience within bridging finance, property finance, mortgage lending, financial services, property or a related sector would be particularly advantageous, but isn't essential.
