Managing Director – Children’s Residential Care East Midlands | Up to 95,000 + Equity Share | Start-Up / Growth ProviderAppointed on behalf of a progressive and well-capitalised organisation We are working in partnership with an emerging children’s residential care provider with ambitious plans to establish and grow a strong presence across the East Midlands.

Supported by an experienced and credible leadership board, this is a unique opportunity for a senior leader to play a pivotal role in developing a values-driven organisation from the very beginning. The Role As Managing Director, you will lead the organisation through its initial launch phase and into sustained growth.

You will have overall responsibility for setting direction, embedding high standards of care, and creating the operational and leadership foundations required for long-term success. This position suits a commercially aware children’s care leader who enjoys building services, shaping culture, and driving performance.

Key responsibilities include

Setting and delivering the strategic direction and expansion plans across the East MidlandsEstablishing strong governance, quality assurance, and safeguarding frameworksRecruiting, developing, and leading a capable senior management teamTaking accountability for operational performance, compliance, and financial outcomesActing as a key link between the board, commissioners, regulators, and wider stakeholdersPromoting a child-centred culture where positive outcomes and quality care are paramount About You The successful candidate will bring:Substantial leadership experience within children’s residential servicesA demonstrable history of raising standards and supporting service growthStrong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirementsStrategic thinking combined with the ability to deliver at an operational levelExcellent leadership presence, communication skills, and stakeholder management abilityA clear commitment to improving the lives and outcomes of children and young people What’s on Offer Salary of up to 115,000 per annum, dependent on experienceEquity participation, providing long-term reward and alignment with the organisation’s successThe opportunity to work alongside an experienced, supportive, and values-led boardSignificant influence over the strategic direction and operational development of the organisationClear long-term career progression as the provider grows and expands Recruitment Timeline Applications are encouraged as early as possible.
