Managing Director - Marine

Overview

In this executive role, you will drive growth for a marine insurance business by executing strategic plans and expanding into new markets. You will lead the marine division, recruit top Marine Producers Brokers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale globally. The position involves travel and international meetings with wholesale brokers and MGUs, with target compensation including base pay, strong bonuses, and long-term incentives. Based near London, you will shape the next phase of the company’s expansion in a high-potential space.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth and execute the strategic plan for the marine division
• Open new markets and territories globally
• Recruit and onboard high-calibre Marine Producers Brokers
• Lead and develop the marine production team and partnerships
• Coordinate international travel and stakeholder engagement to secure business
• Collaborate with leadership to align growth with company targets and LTIP goals

Key requirements

• Proven track record as a marine producer/broker or equivalent leadership in marine insurance
• Leadership capability with experience scaling a division or team
• Ability to open and develop new markets internationally
• Willingness to travel internationally and be based within commuting distance to London
