Job Description Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves producing precision components from plastic and metal, working from technical drawings and specifications.
Roles & Responsibilities Operate manual lathes to manufacture precision components from plastic and metal. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and CAD models. Set and adjust machinery, tooling and workpieces to required specifications.
Carry out grinding, milling and assembly work where required. Use hand tools, power tools and machining equipment. Inspect components using verniers, micrometers and other measuring equipment. Ensure finished components meet required tolerances and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. About You Previous experience operating manual lathes. Strong understanding of machining principles and engineering drawings. Experience with grinding, milling and assembly.
Good mechanical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. CAD/SolidWorks experience would be advantageous. Salary & Hours £16.50 – £19.50 per hour Mon - Fri 8am - 4:30pm
