Manufacturing Estimator

KL Talent Solutions is looking to speak with experienced Estimators who have a background in manufacturing, engineering or technical production environments. We're working on behalf of an established business that requires someone who is commercially aware, technically minded and comfortable working with detailed specifications, costings and customer requirements.

This would suit someone who enjoys the technical side of estimating but also understands the importance of getting the detail right from the outset. What will you be doing? Reviewing customer enquiries, technical drawings and specifications.

Preparing accurate quotations, estimates and material costings. Assessing labour, materials and production requirements. Liaising with internal teams to clarify specifications and resolve technical queries. Ensuring quotations are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

Identifying opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency. Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems. What are we looking for? Previous experience in an estimating role within manufacturing, engineering or a similar technical environment.

The ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications. Good commercial awareness and an understanding of manufacturing costs. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Confidence communicating with customers and internal departments.

A practical approach to problem-solving. Experience using estimating software or ERP systems would be beneficial. Interested? If you're currently working in estimating and considering a move, we'd be happy to have a confidential conversation. AMRT1_UKTJ ...
