Manufacturing Operative GKN Aerospace - Luton Rate: £15.47/hr PAYE + holiday allowance Duration: 6 Month Rolling Contracts (Long Term) Hours: Days Position initially, with the potential to move onto Double Days shift pattern: (20% uplift) Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm About GKN Aerospace Luton GKN Luton sits within the Aerospace Group and is a world leader in the production of transparencies and ice protection systems for both civil and military markets.

The Role Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate: Good writing, reading and communication skills. Ability to work to engineering drawings and specifications (training will be given). Compliance with the GKN employee handbook.

Ability to work in a highly skilled environment that requires a high level of attention to detail. Team player attitude. Good attention to detail. Quality awareness. Use of hand tools. Commitment to quality. Aircraft and manufacturing experience (desirable).

Inspection of components background (desirable). Some knowledge of electrics (desirable). CNC machinery experience highly beneficial. Duties and Responsibilities Be part of the manufacturing team. Support team members/team leaders to meet customer demands.

Support continuous improvement activities within the value stream. Comply with company safety policies. Responsible for the form, fit and function of products. Compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy Legislation and Company's Policies.

Any other reasonable duties. Environmental, Health & Safety GKN is compliant with the Company's Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy Awareness procedures and ensures that relevant legislation is complied with by effective implementation and management to all employees.
