MCC Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Support the full project lifecycle, from initial specification and design through to installation and commissioning. Design MCC and Switchgear electrical system architecture, specifying equipment such as motors, MCCs, instrumentation, and PLCs.

Produce MCC and Switchgear electrical schematics, installation diagrams, and equipment schedules. Deliver electrical designs for power, water, and wastewater projects in line with client requirements and relevant standards.

Liaise and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure compliance with ISO quality and environmental procedures, as well as all health and safety regulations.

What Were Looking For We are looking for a motivated and technically capable individual with an interest in electrical engineering and the design of MCC and switchgear systems. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

A relevant qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Experience using AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar electrical design software. Good understanding of electrical design principles, schematics and engineering documentation.

Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project specifications and client requirements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.

Previous experience in MCC and switchgear design is desirable. Experience within the water and wastewater industry is desirable.
