Mechanical Design Engineer

Echelon Engineers is recruiting on behalf of a client, a well-established, privately owned manufacturer of bespoke special-purpose machinery for a range of process industries. They are known for strong engineering and customer service and are expanding their design team.

The role Take new designs from concept to completion, working with the sales and production teams Produce 3D CAD models, detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation Make sure designs meet customer specifications, manufacturing requirements and relevant safety standards Get involved hands-on with build, testing and new product development Visit customer sites when needed Essential Engineering degree or HNC/HND Mechanical design experience in a bespoke machinery environment 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo or AutoCAD) Experience building and fault-finding pneumatic circuits Confident dealing with customers, suppliers and in-house manufacturing Desirable Design of conveyors or automated handling equipment PDM/Vault experience Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical control systems...
