Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 + Pension + Bens

Days Based - Monday to Friday

My client is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of packaging solutions to the engineering and manufacturing industries with over 80 years of experience, the group has gone from strength to strength on a global level and continue to grow through product innovation and a reputation for excellence. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit a mechanical design engineer from their Bristol office.

Key Attributes

• Apprentice Trained or Degree Mechanical Engineering
• AutoCAD Inventor
• Machinery Design Experience

The Role

Reporting to the Mechanical Design Lead you will be responsible designing innovative and cost effective solutions for end of line packaging Automation solutions, the role will be a mix of concept and redesign of existing products

Key duties

• Design packaging solutions, experience of – AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault primarily or SolidWorks.
• The role will be primarily office based, but there will be some travel required for sites surveys and workshop commissioning.
• Interpretation GA drawings, Factory and Machine Layouts
• Bespoke Special Purpose Machinery Design Experience – Moving Parts, Robots, Servo Motors, Chains, Pneumatics & Linear Actuators and Conveyor
• Assembly drawing and BOM's
