Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you will drive mechanical concept generation, detailed design, and validation for medical-device related projects. You will collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to translate ideas into robust prototypes and tested solutions. You’ll apply first-principles analysis, 3D CAD, and simulation to solve complex engineering challenges and own technical workstreams from concept to delivery. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in a multidisciplinary environment with a strong emphasis on design iteration and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical concept generation and detailed design
• 3D CAD using SolidWorks
• FEA / CFD and engineering analysis
• Prototyping, testing and design iteration
• First-principles calculations and problem solving
• Project scoping and technical proposal development
• Working directly with clients and technical stakeholders
• Taking ownership of technical workstreams and project delivery

Key requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years’ industry experience ideally within medical industry
• Strong mechanical design and engineering fundamentals
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Experience with FEA, CFD or engineering simulation
• Experience taking designs from concept through to prototype and test
