Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Dartford Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – 7am to 7pm We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading waste management company serving both domestic and international partners.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the smooth operation, reliability and ongoing improvement of plant and equipment across their waste processing and recycling sites. Your expertise will help ensure that critical systems run efficiently, supporting sustainable waste management solutions and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned maintenance inspections to ensure equipment reliability Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work, minimising production downtime Modify and improve plant and equipment to maximise availability and performance Complete dynamic risk assessments to uphold safe working practices Maintain accurate shift paperwork, condition reports, and documentation in line with the maintenance strategy Qualifications
