About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will work as part of our fitting and maintenance team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a production environment.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to plant breakdowns
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance and fabrication tasks
• Carry out welding and oxy/propane cutting for fabrication work
• Assemble components and fit pipes and various mechanical parts
• Follow blueprints, diagrams and detailed work plans to fabricate and assemble components
• Complete daily inspections and ensure all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards

About You

We are looking for a practical and reliable individual with previous fitting experience who can work confidently in a busy production environment.

• Previous Mechanical Fitter experience is essential
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant equipment
• Strong practical skills and confidence using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, diagrams and measurements
• Experience with welding and oxy/propane cutting would be beneficial
• Able to work independently, use your own initiative and contribute effectively as part of a team
