Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias Coventry | £38,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) | Permanent Monday to Friday | Days Only | Early Finish Every Friday We're recruiting two mechanically biased Maintenance Engineers for an established, family owned manufacturer in Coventry, employing over 1,000 people.

This is a genuinely mechanical maintenance role, with some electrical fault finding, working across a wide range of production machinery. Why is this job worth considering? Permanent day shifts – no nights or rotating shifts.

Early Friday finish – 2:45pm every week. Overtime paid at 1.5x when available. Annual salary reviews and performance related bonus. 31 days' holiday including bank holidays, with a Christmas shutdown. Training and development – investment in additional skills and qualifications.

Established employer – family owned business with over 1,000 employees and an international customer base. Working hours – two patterns available: Option 1: Monday – Thursday, 7am – 4pm. Option 2: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm.

Both options: Friday, 7am – 2:45pm. What do you need? Mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and fault finding. Ability to carry out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.

Basic electrical fault finding skills. Ideally an Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. You'll be working on a variety of equipment, including conveyors, gearboxes, CNC machinery, hydraulic systems and production machinery.
