The company operates across multiple UK locations, delivering safe and dependable power solutions while supporting long-term energy transition goals. The Role This role involves carrying out all mechanical maintenance activities on site - from planning and supervising contractors to creating method statements and risk assessments, as well as performing hands-on maintenance work.
The successful candidate will ensure safe, reliable operation of critical mechanical systems, support major outages, and contribute to ongoing improvements in plant performance and safety. Key Responsibilities Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation. Prepare, oversee, and manage mechanical maintenance contracts. Act under site safety rules as Competent Person or Authorised Person. Deliver best practice in mechanical maintenance execution.
Supervise contractors during major outages and plant work. Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend corrective actions. Support 24/7 maintenance activities for reliable plant performance. Contribute to process safety objectives.
Assist with budgets, cost control, and procurement processes. Support inspections and overhauls at various sites as required. Perform hands-on mechanical maintenance. Collaborate effectively with suppliers, contractors, and site teams. Travel to other company locations occasionally. Skills, Knowledge
