You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.
We are currently looking for a MEP Construction Manager who will: As the MEP Construction Manager,
you will
Manage, supervise and mentor the Supply chain construction team to enable them to optimise their work contributionDevelop and review programmes and forecast budgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the MEP Asset Delivery ManagerEnsure only competent, qualified and trained operatives are engaged on site to deliver the worksEnsure communication to the Technical Assurance, QA and Commercial teams non-conformances and any instructions received from the client / designer / RE's staff.
Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintainedEnsure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works are reviewed, approved and adhered toEnsuring that any change to the SWI is captured and recordedProduce daily reports for progress monitoring, recording resources and monitoring control of project costDevelopment and submission of construction phase plans for M&E Works, eg M&E Permit proceduresWe are looking for: Previous experience in the management of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems on a major Rail project including management, procurement, construction, commissioning and handoverExtensive experience in managing Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) systems for Rail, including the testing and commissioning stageExperience in interfaces with High Voltage, HVAC, Public Health, Fire Systems, Communications and Tunnel VentilationExperience of M&E in a Self Assurance contract environment Strong leadership, communication and conflict management skills Relevant CSCS CardWhat we offer:24/7 digital GP service for you and your family Financial wellbeing and employee assistance Professional development Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave) Inclusion and Diversity We thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
