MEP Lead – Tier One Main Contractor120,000 - 130,000LondonMajor Data Centre ProjectA leading Tier One Main Contractor is currently seeking an experienced MEP Lead to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) elements of a major hyperscale Data Centre project in West London.
The appointed candidate will play a key leadership role in the successful delivery of this technically complex, large-scale scheme, working closely with the client, consultants, specialist subcontractors, and wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the coordination, management, and delivery of all MEP packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handoverOversee MEP design development and coordination in collaboration with consultants, specialist subcontractors, and the design management teamManage MEP programmes, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and public health works are fully integrated with the overall construction programmeCoordinate complex MEP installations, ensuring works are delivered to the required technical, quality, programme, and health & safety standardsLead client, consultant, and stakeholder meetings relating to MEP delivery and provide regular progress updatesWork closely with the commercial team on procurement, subcontractor management, variations, and package performanceDrive the coordination of MEP services across multiple disciplines, ensuring interfaces are effectively managedProvide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the wider MEP delivery teamSupport the commissioning, testing, integrated systems testing, and final handover of the Data CentreCandidate
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar MEP Lead / MEP Project Lead / MEP Manager role on large-scale Data Centre projectsStrong understanding of the technical and delivery requirements associated with mission-critical / hyperscale Data Centre environmentsExperience managing major MEP packages on projects valued at 100m+Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and public health disciplinesBackground with a main contractor, ideally a Tier One contractor, delivering complex MEP projectsExcellent coordination, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skillsExperience working through pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and handoverDegree or equivalent qualification in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related disciplineSMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid desirableDiscipline(s): Building ServicesJob type: Permanent
