Job Description MIG Welder/Fabricator Location: Rotherham S60 Job Type: Full-time Temp to Perm - Various Shifts available! We are recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their busy and growing manufacturing organisation in Rotherham.
This role is ideal for someone who is skilled, reliable, and has a strong commitment to quality, safety, and productivity. Day-to-day of
the role
Perform MIG welding on a range of materials including carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium, and other metals. Weld a variety of joint configurations in multiple positions to a high standard. Set and adjust welding equipment to ensure optimum weld quality and compliance with welding procedures and specifications.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical instructions. Meet production schedules while maintaining strict quality standards. Follow all welding procedures and quality requirements to ensure a "right first time" approach.
Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment. Ensure correct identification, marking, and labelling of components. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times. Required Skills &
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' hands-on MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environment. Proven experience welding carbon steel and other metals to a high standard. Experience working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work. Strong communication skills and ability to follow documented procedures.
