Multi-Skilled Engineer About the Business Our client are a successful, well-established food manufacturing business supplying major retailers and food processors across the UK. The modern manufacturing and distribution facilities enable them to meet customer demand efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety and service.

The Role The purpose of this role is to support the smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing operation through planned and reactive maintenance. You will take a proactive approach to recurring machinery faults, minimise downtime and contribute to ongoing improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production, packaging and process equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime Support production teams to maximise line availability and efficiency Identify recurring faults and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability Complete all required maintenance records, PPM documentation and breakdown reports Identify spare parts requirements and help maintain appropriate stock levels Communicate technical and operational issues clearly to relevant departments Support engineering projects, including machinery upgrades, improvements and building works Carry out general site and facilities maintenance when required Support new product development and the introduction of new equipment and processes Work in line with food safety, allergen control, hygiene and good manufacturing practice requirements Follow company environmental and waste disposal procedures Meet relevant engineering KPIs and performance targets Health & Safety Carry out all work safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant legislation Report accidents, near misses, unsafe practices and dangerous conditions promptly Use the correct tools and equipment and report any defects or damage Ensure machinery guards and safety systems are correctly maintained Wear all required PPE and follow site health and safety procedures at all times
