Job Description Multi Skilled Maintenance EngineerMerthyr Tydfil4 on, 4 off, Days & Nights£45,000We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.
The role will provide hands on maintenance support across a fast paced production environment, ensuring machinery and equipment remain safe, reliable and operational. The successful candidate will be multi skilled, with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background, and have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Food or meat processing experience would be advantageous. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance across the siteDiagnose and fault find electrical and mechanical issuesMinimise production downtime through effective fault finding and repairsWork with PLC controlled machinery and automated equipmentSupport continuous improvement and reliability initiativesEnsure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company proceduresThe CandidateMulti Skilled Engineering apprenticeshipElectrical and/or Mechanical qualificationPrevious manufacturing maintenance experienceStrong electrical and mechanical fault finding skillsPLC experience would be advantageousExperience within food or meat manufacturing would be beneficialProactive, hands on approach with the ability to work independentlyGood communication and teamwork skillsComfortable working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nightsThis is a great opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join an established manufacturing operation, offering a strong salary and consistent 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
