Job Description Multi Skilled Maintenance EngineerSalary £52,0003 Shift PatternMornings, Afternoons, Nights8 Hour ShiftsBedfordWe are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced automated distribution and logistics operation.
Working within a highly automated environment, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of conveyors including hanging garment conveyors, sortation systems, automated handling equipment, palletisers, bagger, labelling machines etcThis is an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with am electrical bias with strong fault-finding abilities who enjoys working in a modern, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Maintenance EngineerCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated distribution equipmentRespond quickly to breakdowns and minimise operational downtimeDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, and automated systemsSupport continuous improvement and reliability initiativesWork with PLC-controlled systems and assist with basic fault diagnosisMaintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS systemEnsure all work is completed safely and in line with company proceduresCollaborate with operations teams to maximise site performance and efficiencyExperience and Qualifications required for a Multi Skilled Maintenance EngineerRecognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)Previous experience within an automated warehouse, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics environmentStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skillsExperience working with conveyors, sortation systems, or automated handling equipmentAbility to work independently and within a teamStrong communication and problem-solving skillsSalary and Benefits of a Multi Skilled Maintenance EngineerSalary £52,0003 Shift PatternMornings, Afternoons, Nights8 HOUR SHIFTSCompany pension schemeTraining and career progression opportunitiesModern automated working environmentEmployee benefits packageSupportive engineering and operations teamIf you are looking to join a growing, technology-driven environment then click apply today or please call Sam on 07443 359151 for more information.
