.Net Tech Lead

Overview

In this Tech Lead role, you will guide the design, development and deployment of cloud-based software solutions within Version 1’s Digital Data & Cloud Practice. You’ll lead technical direction on scalable, secure systems while aligning with agile practices and stakeholder needs. You’ll mentor teammates, drive knowledge transfer, and help shape transformational projects for public and private sectors. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain cloud-based software applications
• Provide technical leadership to coordinate and deliver scalable, secure solutions and uphold engineering practices (code quality, CI/CD, security)
• Own and shape a product/software solution from design through estimation and user stories
• Document architecture, configuration, releases, and support handover
• Collaborate with Version 1 and customer stakeholders across the software development lifecycle
• Communicate technical designs clearly to stakeholders with varied technical abilities
• Deliver effective knowledge transfer to team members and customers
• Manage, coach and develop junior team members and nurture a positive, collaborative team environment

Key requirements

• Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns (microservices, message-driven)
• Hands-on development experience with Angular (frontend) and .NET/C# (backend)
• Experience with TDD, unit and integration testing, and robust CI/CD
• Experience developing REST-based APIs
• Strong DevOps experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Azure-focused development with services like Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, VMs; cloud-native, serverless design
• Understanding of non-functional requirements and scalable architectures
• Microsoft certifications AZ-204 or AZ-305 preferred
