Why You’ll Love This Role✔ Work on 3rd-line network & security support across enterprise-scale environments✔ Exposure to next-generation firewalling, large-scale routing/switching, cloud networking & automation✔ Real career progression into specialist or consultancy paths✔ Join a team experiencing significant investment and growthWhat You’ll Be Doing * Providing 3rd-line network & security support, acting as an escalation point for challenging issues * Delivering both BAU support and project work across customer sites and internal operations * Proactively monitoring and maintaining managed systems * Owning and resolving complex technical problems using tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow analysis, and monitoring platforms * Managing patching, feature updates, change controls, and documentation * Mentoring service desk engineers to uplift overall capabilityYour Network & Security ExpertiseWe’re looking for someone with strong experience in an MSP or enterprise IT environment, with deep knowledge across:Networking * Layer 2 & 3 routing and switching * OSPF & BGP – essential * VXLAN & Cisco ACI * Dual stack IPv4/IPv6 * Wireless: Aruba, Cisco Meraki * Azure & AWS networking * VMware / Hyper-V environmentsSecurity * FortiGate firewalls with full UTM stack (Web Filtering, Application Control, IPS/IDS, SD-WAN) * FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer * SIEM technologies (Darktrace, Reveal(x)) * Infrastructure monitoring (PRTG preferred)Automation & Tooling * Python / PowerShell scripting * Terraform for automation * ITSM processes aligned to ITIL frameworkCertifications (Desirable but not essential) * Cisco CCNP (minimum level of knowledge expected) * Fortinet / Aruba / PRTG vendor certifications * ITIL FoundationWhat’s On Offer * Up to £50,000 base salary * Annual performance bonus * Hybrid working (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH) * Pension, death-in-service, onsite parking * Superb office environment with staff perks, snacks & social eventsReady to Level Up Your Network Security Career?
